Colorado & Camping
Next summer vacation stop was Colorado to see Jerimiah's family. We had fun at more baseball games - the Rockies and uncle Patrick's - plus time at the park, Dave & Busters, and checking out aunt Valerie and unclue Justin's new house. Then, we headed up to Nebraska for camping with the family on the lake. The kids spent a lot of time in the water, some fishing, and stars and s'mores around the campfire. We also enjoyed our first rodeo for the 4th of July and fireworks.

Go Brewers!
The real reason we headed to Milwaukee - the Brewers! Jerimiah was very excited to take the kids to a couple of games at Miller Park - we all had a great time! Connor loved watching the sausage races - Connor was rooting for the hot dog - and it won at one of the games. It was fun to see Bernie slide down the slide for Brewer home runs. I loved that they sing "Roll Out the Barrel" after "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" reminding me of my grandpa's love of polka. It was also great to watch baseball while enjoying polish sausages and summer shandy beer. The Brewers won one of the two games we went to, but both games were a fun time for the whole family!
Milwaukee
We had a fantastic family vacation to Milwaukee in June. We started by stopping in Iowa City to visit Aunt Vally. Connor was impressed with the playground, ice cream, and Val's selection of kids' movies. Then we headed up to Milwaukee to enjoy swimming, the zoo, and two museums, according to Connor. We went to the Discovery World science museum and aquarium - the highlight was Connor and I touching a sting ray - "It's soft and squishy!" The zoo was fun getting to see some animals we don't have in Omaha right now - elephants, camels, and kangaroos, but we are so lucky to be able to go the Omaha zoo so much. The other museum was the Milwaukee Public Museum where our favorite part was seeing all the dinosaurs.
