For our final adventures for the last week of summer, Connor and I visited the Lauritzen Gardens. Connor loves trees and flowers, but he definitely enjoys the model train garden the best. Down below he's checking out the trolley as it goes by. Connor also loves to run around in the children's garden, especially checking out the letter signs again and again. After a hot morning at the gardens, we went to the splash park by the Missouri River pedestrian bridge and Connor went nuts! A great end to a fun week and summer!

Gymboree & The Park
Connor did Gymboree class once a week this summer and loved it every time. His favorite part of class is parachute time and the bubbles. Some of the other kids don't really get into the parachute rides and going under the flying parachute, but Connor loved it from the very first time. He also loved playing on the gym equipment - always climbing, jumping, and sliding. Connor was also a big fan of the row boat, rocking horse and shooting hoops. Never a dull moment at Gymboree! And he also loved more of the same at the park - can't get enough of the slides!
Zoo!!!
The Omaha Zoo was another popular place to visit this summer. Connor is absolutely in love with all the animals and has a blast every time. This past time we saw a lot of great activity from the animals. We started off the day seeing a mommy and baby orangutan kissing. Then we visited the bears, tigers, and lions. The lions are usually hard to see because they're hanging out in the shade, but on this day one was laying right in front of the window. Connor was so excited to see a "roar" up close. Some other highlights were feeding the Budgie birds, the outdoor lemur exhibit where we could pracitcally touch them, and making elephant noises at the elephants. Connor is a huge fan of zebras and giraffes (also know as "ehbras" and "affes"). The aquarium is probably the highlight of the zoo - especially the penguins. He just goes wild watching the penguins - I love watching him watch the penguins. And lastly we stop at the jungle to visit the pygmy hippos, those "ippos" are another Connor favorite.
Omaha Children's Museum
On of our favorite spots to visit is the Omaha Children's Museum. It keeps Connor busy playing for hours. Of course the first thing he always wants to play with is the water activity, but luckily the museum as raincoats nearby for use. Connor will just run around from one thing to the next until he's done it all. He usually spends a lot of time in the wiggle room working on puzzles. The Clifford traveling exhibit has been a big hit as well. As we leave there's a small splash park that Connor gets a big kick out of and soaking wet!
Adventures at Home
This summer has been full of adventures. I'm very sad to see it ending, but we'll just have to make the most of our weekends. Connor loves playing at home with his cars, choo-choos, books, and puzzles. He also loves playing basketball and catch - he's really starting to get the hang of it. Connor's also into cuddling with his stuffed animals, blankies, and sometimes stealing Mommy's throw blanket. One night he got himself all cuddled up in my blanket and it was so cute. He had Jerimiah and I cracking up, which happens quite often these days.
Kansas City
We enjoyed a nice little trip to Kansas City to visit Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt "Bally" now that they're all moved in. Also got to spend some time with the Hayes family while we were there. Connor had tons of fun at the T-bones baseball game as you can see even though it was super hot and muggy. He also had tons of fun at the neighborhood pool and splash park. Connor was very excited to play with Grandma's toy collection including having his version of a tea party with Tigger and Pooh - he put them in those chairs all on his own with no help from mommy. They all enjoyed some yummy pizza!
