Summer Adventures

It's been another fun week with swim lessons and trips to the children's musuem and library storytime. Here's a few photos from the musuem and play time at home. Charlotte loves playing in the wiggle room at the musuem, especially checking herself out in the mirror and giving herself kisses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Crawling and Climbing

First week of summer home with the kids has been a blast! Charlotte is a master crawler now and she's on the move. Who needs toys, when it's so much fun to play with the DVD player, lamp, and the toilet. Not only can she pull herself up on her knees, but she can pull on the way up to standing. I wish she was had more stability because many times when climbing she ends up bonking her head - poor baby girl. Connor is such a big helper with Charlotte and the housework. I don't force him to do chores - he begs to use the Swiffer! Connor is also doing swim lessons and loving it. Overall, it's been a great week with trips to the park, library, childrens musuem, and zoo. What a wonderful way to kick off summer break!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Growing Up Fast

Both Connor and Charlotte are growing up fast these days. Charlotte loves eating her baby food and making big messes. She's almost a crawler; she gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth. She even pushes her legs up like she's going to bear crawl, but she just can't quite get those knees a moving. Instead, she just scooches herself around like a little inch worm. Also, Charlotte now has two teeth! Tooth number one broke through last weekend, and tooth number two broke through yesterday. Connor keeps getting bigger everyday, too. I can't believe how tall he is. Soccer is done for the year; next up is swimming lessons. Connor loves playing with Charlotte and singing her songs, but now that she's somewhat on the move, he's not happy about her wanting to play with his toys. I'm so excited for summer to start and stay home with these incredible kiddos! Let the fun begin!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Six Months Old

This week Charlotte had her six month birthday! Her checkup at the doctor went great. She up to 26 inches and 14 lbs. 2 oz. Charlotte is getting better at sitting, but needs help getting there and topples over after awhile. She is getting closer to crawling, too - she's gets on all fours and rocks back and forth. Any day now she'll be zooming around chasing her brother! We're still waiting on those first teeth. Those should be popping through any day now as well. We played a lot on Saturday, including a trip to the library. It really tuckered out the gang. :) Today, we were supposed to have Charlotte's six months photos taken, but she just cried the whole time. You would never know based on the big smiles she gave me in her tutu when we got home.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Charlotte's Baptism

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Charlotte's baptism with our family. Charlotte was a happy baby all through church, chatting so much we had to give her the pacifier to try to quiet her down a little. She did beautifully during her baptism. We are very blessed to have such a happy and healthly baby girl. Thank you to all the family that joined us in celebrating the joyous event and party!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Zoo Time

It took us a while, but we finally made it to the zoo for the first time of the year and Charlotte's first time ever! The kids enjoyed the zoo trip with cousins Kyla and Kason, too. The renovated aquarium is better than ever, and Connor was fascinated by it as always. Also, as usual, he turned into a really silly monkey when we checked out the monkeys and gorillas. I especially like the shot of him showing off his karate moves. Charlotte didn't see much, but she sure enjoyed the ride and time with family.
