Spring Sports

Almost every single picture from this spring was of the kids playing sports or us going to a game. I'm thinking that will be the trend for many more years in our future! Connor juggled soccer and baseball again both this year and loves them both. He continues to improve every season, especially in baseball this year with several hits every game and helped his team get several outs playing the field. His favorite spot is first base, and he's doing a great job at it. He runs hard every time he bats to get on base as well. Charlotte had a lot of fun with soccer this spring. She's very competitive with her brother, so we'll see if she starts to show as much hustle on the field, too.

Happy Easter

Fun Easter weekend in Kansas City! We visited Lego Land and the Sea Life Aquarium. Kids were also spoiled with a Disney on Ice show. Then on to the more traditional Easter fun with a visit from the Easter Bunny and the post-church Easter egg hunt! Note to self - bring the real camera next time to handle the fast moving kiddos hunting for those Easter treats. We all got a laugh that Charlotte needed to take a harmonica break during the egg hunt!

Winter 2016

Not the most exciting of winters this year. Charlotte had her first real hair cut not just bangs. It was really just a trim, but that straight hair makes her look so grown up. We love making cookies together - or mostly mommy makes cookies and kids throw on a few sprinkles and gobble up the cookies. Connor had fun playing basketball again and loves shooting hoops in the driveway now. One nice almost spring day took us to the park - a little preview to summer!

Merry Christmas!

We had a lot of fun celebrating Christmas in western Nebraska and Colorado this year. The kids love playing with their cousins, and the grown ups had quite a bit of fun playing games, too. Santa made Connor and Charlotte very happy this year! Connor loves his Perplexus, and Charlotte finally has the pink Puppy Surprise she's been wanting all month. We had a fun-filled weekend with the whole family heading to see the new Star Wars movie - the second time for the boys. Charlotte and I joined in the holiday tradition of seeing The Nutcracker with the rest of the girls. We finished up the visit with a Colorado Avalanche hockey game on Star Wars night - a happy surprise for all the kids. It was a wonderful Christmas week!
