Soccer Fun

Connor is turning into quite the soccer player! He loves playing soccer, and Charlotte can't wait until she's big enough to play, too.

Last Days of Summer Vacation

Here's a few photos from our last fun activities to close out summer vacation. Sad to see the summer end, but at least Connor is excited for school to start - kindergarten this year! He's been counting down the days until he gets to go back to school. :)

Kansas City

Fantastic trip to Kansas City! Visits to Penguin Park, Lego Land, and Union Station were fun as always. We celebrated two special events - Huck Finn's first birthday and Connor's first lost tooth and visit from the tooth fairy! We all had a lot of fun swimming at the pool, and the kids enjoyed scooters, tricycles and sprinklers outside. Another highlight was the great time at the Royals baseball game!

Fontenelle Forest

We found a new place to explore in the Omaha area - Fontenelle Forest. We enjoyed the Riverwalk Boardwalk and Ridge Trail, especially the views of the Missouri River. Acorn Acres and the indoor play area were also big hits!

Washington, D.C.

I had fun exploring DC while on a conference this summer. I was most excited to see the WWII Memorial since I hadn't been there ever. It was beautiful! I'm so proud of my grandpa for his service. It rained a lot while I was in town, but we still managed to check out the sights. I loved the White House tour, especially the green room, and also really enjoyed the U.S. Capitol tour from an intern who did an outstanding job.
