Merry Christmas!

The Ruddens had a very happy Christmas! The kids are at such a fun age as they both love opening presents and were super excited for Santa to visit. Connor loved all his cars and Star Wars stuff, which is exactly what he asked Santa for. Charlotte loved her Minnie stuff, dolls, and picnic basket that she loved to carry around like a purse. We had such a wonderful week in Colorado and western Nebraska with family. December Fun

December is busy, but lots of fun! Charlotte helped with some of the Christmas shopping, but got a little wore out. Connor had a wonderful Pre-K Christmas program with some cute songs and dances, and we made gingerbread houses. We enjoyed a trip to the Durham museum to see Santa and check out the giant Christmas tree. Connor sat on Santa's lap, but wouldn't tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas because he'd already told him. Charlotte was too scared to see Santa after he let out a couple big ho-ho-hos. We headed to Colorado for Christmas and had fun going bowling for the first time as a family. We also snuck in a snowy trip to the park with some nice weather after Christmas. Charlotte loved the huge, tall slide and Connor finally conquered the fire pole and now loves it! He said that if he was a fireman he'd take the fire pole all time, not just when it's emergencies. :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Happy Holidays!

We are having a very happy holiday season so far this year! We celebrated two Thanksgivings and one Christmas already. This weekend we had fun braving the cold to see Santa and his reindeer on Saturday, and then stayed warm decorating our house for Christmas on Sunday. Connor loves to pick out ornaments and put them on the tree. He's also very interested in Jesus this year and really loves looking at our nativity scene and ornaments. Fall Fun

  A little later than usual, but it was finally time to rake and jump in the leaves. Connor loved both again, and Charlotte got a real kick out of it all!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Happy Halloween

Luke Skywalker and Ladybug Charlotte had a fantastic Halloween! Connor had a blast at the PreK Halloween party showing off his Star Wars costume to his friends. Both kids had fun celebrating with their daycare buddies. Trick-or-treating was the big hit as we walked up and down our street. Charlotte couldn't quite get the trick-or-treat part down, but she did great telling everyone thank you. Charlotte and I headed home early to hand out candy, and she was not happy about it, until she was able to enjoy some of her treats. :) Connor was estastic about his huge candy score and everything Halloween!
