May Adventures

May was a busy month of both soccer and baseball for Connor. I can't believe we're already starting that stage of life with kids' activities keeping us on the go. We had a belated May the 4th (force be with you) celebration by making some cookies in the shapes of Star Wars ships. They are Connor's new favorite cookie, of course. Any cookie is Charlotte's favorite cookie - it's one of the words she says quite clearly. She also loves to say "cheese" anytime the camera or phone is out if she thinks we're taking pictures. I'm so thankful that Connor and Charlotte get along so well. They absolutely love playing together, including reading books together - so happy!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

April Fun

Happy Easter

Our family had a very happy Easter this year! Connor and Charlotte both had tons of fun hunting for Easter eggs and posing for pictures. The next morning was more excitement after a visit from the Easter bunny and indulging in lots of candy! Both kids have a sweet tooth, but Charlotte really loves chocolate. :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Spring Break

We enjoyed our spring break celebrating grandma's birthday. Check out the birthday cake - Star Wars, of course! Connor has quite the love for music and had a blast with the harmonica at grandma and grandpa's house. We had a fun weekend in Kansas City, including a trip to their children's' and science museum. Charlotte is kinda showing off her love of crossing arms like grown-ups do, except she adds a little twist dance move. She's still doing it and cracks me up every time. We wrapped up the week with a trip to our children's' museum for superheroes night. Connor was so thrilled to have a superhero cape and mask. He's the "Determinator" because he never gives up!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Winter Happenings

Now that we're on summer break, it's time to catch up the blogging about the adventures of Connor and Charlotte. Both kids keep growing like crazy and making us laugh every day! This past winter we stayed close to home enjoying a trip to the zoo and the Lego exhibit at the botanical gardens. We also had a very fun Valentine's Day with a Star Wars theme for Connor! He's obsessed with Star Wars Angry Birds, so he was ecstatic about his new Luke Skywalker Angry Bird. One of Connor's favorite silly games is to tell us how much he loves us - "Mommy, I love you more than Star Wars!" Very high praise from Connor! Charlotte has reached the age of complete disaster. Our house looks like a toy store exploded. She's also a messy eater, as in the pizza in the pictures below. At least there's never a dull moment!
