Valerie and Justin's Wedding

The main event this summer was Valerie and Justin's wedding. Jerimiah was the officiant - yes, he can legally do that, like Joey from Friends. Connor was the most adorable and awesome ring bearer. Charlotte was pretty adorable, too. We survived the record-breaking heat for a beautiful ceremony and amazing party! So many great memories - Connor's first and very adventurous limo ride, Connor handing the rings to Jerimiah, and me dancing the night away with Connor. Connor is quite the dancing machine, and he was so happy he got to dance with the beautiful bride, his aunt Valerie. Fantastic day!

Kansas City Trip

We had a wonderful time visiting grandma and grandpa in Kansas City. Connor enjoyed the trips to the park and the pool. We had a lot of fun at the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead where Connor feed a bottle to baby goats, saw tons of farm animals and loved the playgrounds. We also went to Science City at Union Station for more fun. Connor loves building stuff with Grandma and all the other great activities. We also had a great time on Father's Day with the Neubauer family. Connor and Charlotte had fun with cousins Patrick and Finley.

Summer Adventures

It's been another fun week with swim lessons and trips to the children's musuem and library storytime. Here's a few photos from the musuem and play time at home. Charlotte loves playing in the wiggle room at the musuem, especially checking herself out in the mirror and giving herself kisses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Crawling and Climbing

First week of summer home with the kids has been a blast! Charlotte is a master crawler now and she's on the move. Who needs toys, when it's so much fun to play with the DVD player, lamp, and the toilet. Not only can she pull herself up on her knees, but she can pull on the way up to standing. I wish she was had more stability because many times when climbing she ends up bonking her head - poor baby girl. Connor is such a big helper with Charlotte and the housework. I don't force him to do chores - he begs to use the Swiffer! Connor is also doing swim lessons and loving it. Overall, it's been a great week with trips to the park, library, childrens musuem, and zoo. What a wonderful way to kick off summer break!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Growing Up Fast

Both Connor and Charlotte are growing up fast these days. Charlotte loves eating her baby food and making big messes. She's almost a crawler; she gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth. She even pushes her legs up like she's going to bear crawl, but she just can't quite get those knees a moving. Instead, she just scooches herself around like a little inch worm. Also, Charlotte now has two teeth! Tooth number one broke through last weekend, and tooth number two broke through yesterday. Connor keeps getting bigger everyday, too. I can't believe how tall he is. Soccer is done for the year; next up is swimming lessons. Connor loves playing with Charlotte and singing her songs, but now that she's somewhat on the move, he's not happy about her wanting to play with his toys. I'm so excited for summer to start and stay home with these incredible kiddos! Let the fun begin!
