More Trains and Pumpkins!

Today, we enjoyed a vist to Lauritzen Gardens for their 10th anniversary celebration. We had fun checking out the big trains before heading into the gardens. Connor and daddy and fun visiting the model trains garden, while mommy checked out the annual mums show and Japanese flower arrangements. And of course, Connor got a kick out of the pumpkin and squash displays all around making sure he got to pet them all, especially the bumpy ones!

Pumpkin Patch

Connor enjoyed an afternoon at the pumpkin patch with Daddy. Connor loves pumpkins, and loves touching each one he sees. They also had a pirate area, which was a blast for our pirate wanna-be. He also brave the giant bouncy area for lots of jumping up high. Connor had fun on the train ride around the pumpkin patch while enjoying some candy. Trains, pumpkins, and candy - perfect day for Connor!

Go Brewers!

Connor and Daddy are all ready to cheer for their favorite baseball team - the Brewers! They won the first round of the playoffs. Let's hope they keep it up and are World Series champs! Connor enjoys watching baseball with Daddy for short periods of time. He loves to cheer "Go, buddy, go!" with Daddy! Luckily he hasn't picked up the not-so-nice words from Jerimiah. Connor picked up saying "Oh, Crap" for a little while, but somehow that evolved to "Oh, Grapes" thank goodness!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Connor!

Can't believe that Connor is 3! He had a great day on his birthday with a trip to Fuddrucker's were he got a balloon sword and some baseball cupcakes from Mommy. That weekend we had a little party for him with party hats, balloons, presents and a cars cake! He had a blast with the Happy Birthday song, gobbling down yummy cake, opening his presents, and playing with his new cars and race tracks. Thanks to everyone for the cards, gifts and happy birthday wishes for Connor!

Kansas City Union Station

Our next adventure in Kansas City was a trip to Union Station. We had fun at the Science City musuem. Connor enjoyed playing music with the floor piano, xylophone, and garbage can drums. We all had fun building towers. We also checked out the NASA exhibit, model trains, and much more. Connor was pretty excited about the real helicopter and he even got to sit inside!

It was a great trip to Kansas City. Connor had fun playing with all the toys and reading books at grandma and grandpa's house. He also loved running through the sprinkler and was joined by many neighborhood kids. We spent a couple of days at the community pool, which was a nice relief from the super hot weather. Connor had lots of fun swimming, especially jumping into the pool, and splashing around the splash park.

Kansas City Crown Center

Our last trip for the summer was a trip to Kansas City to visit grandma and grandpa. Grandma, Connor, and I had fun at Crown Center with a trip to the Crayola store, a rainforest adventure exhibit and Hallmark visitor's center. We stopped for lunch at Fritz's, a train restaurant, and it was a big hit! We ordered our lunch on the phone, watched model trains go by, and had a lunch delivered by trains dropping our food off to our table.
