Although Connor doesn't understand who Santa is yet, he sure enjoyed the toys Santa left for him. Check out his cute Santa pajamas, too!

Opening Presents - Round 2
Here's more presents on Christmas Eve. Connor was getting a little better at opening them, but still needed lots of help from Dad. He would rip off just one little scrap of paper at a time. In one picture, I captured one piece of wrapping paper flying by after Connor had ripped it off and tossed it aside. He's a very lucky, slightly spoiled little boy to have received so many great gifts. Thanks everyone!
Connor & Kyla
Connor had a great time on our trip to western Nebraska and Colorado for the holidays, especially playing with his cousin Kyla. She had lots of fun toys - he really enjoyed her princess couch and toddler-sized table and chairs. Kyla was a good sport most of the time, but she's hit the age when everything is Mine!!! Overall, they both had a good time - there were definitely more hugs than hits, even if the hugs were suggested by the adults.

Opening Presents - Round 1
Connor had a very merry Christmas with all of his family getting very spoiled. He's starting to get what opening presents is, but it'd take him an hour to open just one present on his own, so he had some help. Here's a slow motion recap of the opening of one present - he was even starting to use his teeth!
First Haircut
Connor got his first haircut back on December 12th. He did a great job and held pretty still until the end - a short nap on the way to the salon helps a lot - and lots of female hairstylists oohing and aahing over him didn't hurt either. The haircut was much in need, but I was having a hard time letting go of those curls. In the end, he's even cuter than ever.

Snow Day!
Three snow days in a row! It's been lots of fun staying home with Connor, but we're both going stir crazy! Connor's been doing everything he's not supposed to: hitting, biting, throwing everything, climbing and jumping on the furniture, and getting into the trash. He's making teaching high school seem easy. We've had a lot of good times though - reading many, many books and getting a little creative with our toys. Connor's been playing with an oatmeal canister for months and finally figured out how to open it, so we had an indoor sandbox of oatmeal in the dining room yesterday. Today, Connor figured out how to climb into the back of his dump truck all on his own. It's a tight squeeze, but he can do it and had a great time when I pushed him around.

Little Husker!
Connor's sporting his Nebraska gear on a November game day. He loves watching football with Daddy just about as much as he loves getting into the cupboards. He's constantly removing everything out of the one kitchen cupboard he has access to and all the drawers. He's an absolute joy to watch play and he doesn't slow down one bit until he's wiped out and ready to read books and cuddle before naps and bedtime. Just as I was typing this I had to take a break because Connor wanted me to read to him his favorite book - Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? I think it's time for cuddles and a nap...
